When you have confirmation of your proctored live exam on behalf of your institution, they will provide detailed information around how to download SUMADI Live app.
Additionally if you encounter any issue installing, please refer to your institution’s Help Desk, you may contact your institution’s Help Desk to request the download URL for your use and installation.
What settings do I need to enable for SUMADI Live App to work properly?
Depending on the operating system used, SUMADI Live App requires a series of privileges approvals. These need to be enabled for the session flow to be seamless and avoid any issues at the on the day of the exam.
It’s highly recommended that as a Test Taker, these privileges are enabled at the moment the prompts are shown.
Enable Privileges on Mac
After installing, approve and enable the following privileges when prompted.
Open App Downloaded from the Internet
As a measure of security, Mac operating systems prompt the user that the software installed has been downloaded from the internet.
Click on Open (see image below).

Access to camera
Prompt displays options for allowing access to the computer’s webcam.
Click on Allow (see image below).

Access to Microphone
Prompt displays options for allowing access to the computer’s microphone.
Click on Allow (see image below).

Allow access to Screen Recording and Audio
For this particular privilege user must perform additional steps.
Click on Open System Settings.
This will open the Screen & System Audio Recording configuration screen.
On the SumadiLive application, toggle to enable.
Accept and enter password if prompted.
Select Quit & Reopen.
This will restart the app and allow appropriate access to the required devices and privileges.
Accessibility Access request after Onboarding
After approval to continue to the exam at the time of Onboarding, an Exam Proctor may request to take remote control of your device for support or to navigate to the desired web based exam.
When prompted to enable the Accessibility Access toggle to allow SumadiLive.
If prompted, select to restart LATER. Do not quit & reopen.
Review SUMADI Live App settings
For a seamless experience, any Test Taker must confirm that the appropriate webcam and microphone are configured prior to any exam.
To review the settings navigate to the Settings option.
For Mac: SumadiLive > Settings
For Windows: File > Settings
Select the appropriate Webcam and Microphone.
Click SUBMIT to save and restart app.
