  • Keep your desk or table top are completely free of food, drinks, secondary monitors, printers, phones, etc.

  • Make sure on your desk to only have items that have been clearly and explicitly allowed in the exam instructions.

  • Select an indoor, private, and quiet room on which interruption is extremely likely to not occur.

  • Adequate lighting and the room temperature are comfortable for the candidate.

  • Telephones, non-required electronics, and any security or recording devices in the room are turned off.

  • Other household members have been informed of the examination date and time and will remain quiet during the examination and not enter the examination room

  • A sign should be placed on the door of the examination room to remind everyone when the examination is in progress.

  • Ensure you’re not using watches, jewelry (except for relationship/wedding ring), nothing in your ears, no hats (except religious headdress), no smart glasses (any glasses will require inspection), no sunglasses.
